For over 37 years, Dr. Pasahow has been a leader in the field of relationship counseling and sex therapy as well as the treatment of acute and post trauma. Her sexual enhancement program, 21 Days of Provocative Passion Fixes, was featured in Redbook magazine and became a successful self-help book.
The PACT model has become an integral component in her work with couples, helping them become better attuned to each other's needs and sensitivities. This level of understanding results in compassion, trust, and true mutuality. Her unique approach to healing also combines cutting edge sex therapy techniques with EMDR, somatic psychotherapies and hypnotherapy. Patients learn to track both arousal and activating sensations in their bodies, allowing for more effective resolution of their symptoms. They are taught the practical tools they need to become more collaborative and move into more secure attachment patterns. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Pasahow is a consultant and educator in sex therapy and EMDR. She presents at national conferences and clinical meetings and is a frequent speaker at hospital grand rounds as well as community outreach programs.
